simple way to print image 'scale to fit'

I'm after a way in XP to simply print an image 'Scale to fit' and 'Actual
Size'

It was easy in Win2K as it had imaging but the Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer only has options to expand and not actual size.

IE only prints actual size

Surely there must be a straight forward way??

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I suspect this might have been a feature of the printer driver you had on
Win2K.

Try the very good free program Irfanview...

All printing regardless of the application is done under the control of the
printer driver. The Epson driver on my system has the option of "scale to
fit". As for "actual size", what this means really depends on the size of
the image in pixels and the number of pixels per inch.

No, "Imaging for Windows" contains this option, and works for all
graphics capable printers. Microsoft dropped Imaging in XP due to
"elevating" licensing charges by the owner of the software.

Don't click on the Printer Icon at the top of the page. Click on File...
and choose Page Setup. Choose full page, center on page, etc. Now click on
Print Preview and see what it looks like. You may want to change from
Portrait to Landscape. When you finally get it looking the way you want,
then click on Print.
