Simple Networking Issue

I have 5 machines on the network, 2 of them as clients doubling as print
servers. The last machine I have added to the network is a HP running Windows
XP Media Center Edition. I can not get it to recognize any other computers on
the network. I have everyone on the same WORKGROUP, I have disabled all the
firewalls, anti-spam, anti-virus, and yet it won't find any of the other
computers. I can ping any and all the other machines, I am able to access the
internet but I can't get it to find any of the printer servers or for that
matter any of the other machines. The network properties has all the
standards checked [client for MS Networks, File Print Sharing, TCP/IP]. Any
suggestions?

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities though, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read
this article with an open mind.

For more immediate help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from the
problem computer, and from 2 properly working computers, so we can diagnose the
problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):
