Simple MAPI vs Extended MAPI

G'day,
I am using Win2PDF to generate a PDF attachment to mail. I am using an
Interwoven file management system to store documents. Interwoven
integrates with Outlook and adds additional toolbars. Win2PDF uses
simple MAPI to open an email interface. Unfortunately, the Interwoven
toolbars are not available using the Win2PDF process, and I cannot
attach other items from Interwoven to the email.
My thoughts are: can Windows use Extended MAPI instead of Simple MAPI
when the Simple MAPI API is called?
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
