simple file sharing

Hi,

I'm running XP Pro. I understand that to turn off simple file sharing in XP
Pro you need to go to the view tab in folder options and uncheck the box
that has it enabled. For some reason, though, when I go to that screen, that
checkbox is not available. Any Ideas? File system is NTFS as I have
administrative permissions.

Are you on a domain, if so this setting may be disabled.
