Simple access 2007 database on a webserver

Im lucky enough to be using Vista and Office 2007. Im curious how I would
go about making a simple database run from the IIS server thats built into
vista?

Im sure i remember seeing Webpages as an option to build in previous
versions of access but i cant see anything like that in Access 2007. It
seems to only have options for sharepoint (which i would like to try too)..
but firstly, i am curious how to go about setting up a very basic webpage
that links to an access database via IIS.

anyone got any info on this?

Cheers

You're probably referring to Data Access Pages. These are now 'deprecated'
in Access 2007. What this means in practical terms is that you can not
create new DAPs or edit the design of existing DAPs in Access 2007. DAPs
that were created in an earlier version can be opened from Access 2007, but
they no longer open in Access, they open in the user's browser.

For a discussion on the alternatives to DAPs, see the thread 'Data Access
Page, what are the other options?', elsewhere in this newsgroup.
