Signatures

I'm having problems setting up signatures. Now I have several signatures
with no files. How do I remove these "ghost" signatures? I'm also having
trouble creating a custom ".htm" file using Word 2007. The file appears in
Word but I'm not able to create the signature file in Windows Mail. There
have been some postings on this problem, but the answers aren't working.
Does anyone have some clear instructions? How can I delete these "ghost"
signatures?

In the Registry, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{long string of letters and
numbers}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\signatures

There is a 4 kb size limit on a signature file.
Word puts so much bloat in HTML that it is useless for creating a signature
file.

You can compose a signature with WinMail and Notepad.
Create your signature in an WinMail mail composition window.
View, check Source Edit.
Click on the Source tab.
Highlight and copy the source code.
Paste the code into Notepad.
Save As "signature.htm". Change signature to your chose of a name.
Use signature.htm for your signature file.

Unfortunately, you can only create one "signature.htm" file. Is there a way
to create other files for different signatures?

I'll answer my own reply! By saving the Notepad document files as
"Signature.htm", "Signature1.htm", "Signature2.htm", etc., I was able to add
each file as a NEW signature and then renaming the NEW "Signature #1" to a
recognizable name for my signature. Each signature needs to be created
separately. The actual document files (apparently) need to start with
"signature?.htm" in order to be recognized as a signature in Windows Mail!

Any htm file below 4 kb should be useable as a signature file.
