Signatures - Outlook XP

When trying to setup a signature using Outlook XP, Tools,
Options.., Mail Format, Signatures.., Click New, enter
the name, the text box does not appear so you can enter
your signature.

The Message "Unable to view or edit this signature". The
Font, Paragraph and Clear buttons are grayed out.

I have tried reinstalling Office XP but the error message
still appears.

Hi Natasha,
do you use Word as Email Editor`?
