I have been trying to put a signature on my outgoing email in Outlook
Express.

I can get to the Tools/Options/signature box and the >new then >text
but how do I format the text?

The way I have done this is to do your signature in an html editor like
FrontPage or Dreamweaver (whatever you have there) and SAVE the html file
created (remember where you saved it). Also you can take out all the
non-essential html code like <head><body> etc - you are only interested in
the one line. If you know html then just use notepad but remember to save
the file in quotes like "mysig.htm" so it doesn't save it as a .txt file.

Now back where you were in Outlook, click 'file' and 'browse' to the file
you saved.

That should do it!

Best wishes,

Jim

Why? Keep HTML out of email and Usenet. You are trying to communicate
with someone. Stylized text is not required and in many places, not
appreciated.

Why use PGP??

It just occurred to me - you can probably use MS Word if you have it. Type
and format your signature and "save as web page"

I think that would work too!

Many thanks Jim. I took up your first suggestion and wrote it in
Notepad and learned a bit about HTML at the same time. All OK now.

Thanks also for your comment to the pompous prat Zilbandy
