Signatures in forwarded and/or replied to emails

Hi,

I'm having a small problem with signatures in Outlook 2003.

My signature includes a picture and it is visible when I send emails.
However when I get replies, some of the replies include the picture but
others do not.
And yet, if i reply or forward those relies, the picture reappears in the
email.

Is the reason the logo appears in some replies and not in others down to the
way receipients have their Outlook configured for receiving/sending/replying
to emails rather than any settings in my own Outlook?
