Signatures and Stationery in Outlook 2007

OS: Windows XP SP2

I just upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007.

In Office 2003 I could send and receive animated signatures. In Office
2007, the signaures are no longer animated, and I receive them as attachments
rather than as imbedded in the email itself.

The same is true of stationery. When I receive an email the stationery is
separated from the actual message and is attached as an attachment.

Is there a setting that I need to change to correct this? I have looked and
tinkered with all I figured might affect these items, but I have not yet
stumbled upon the solution.

Any help anyone might provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

There is no longer support for animated GIFs in Outlook 2007. So make
sure your first frame contain the information needed at the receiving
end.

Re. your attachment problem, I have no reports of embedded pictures
being attached. Make sure you copy you image to application data and
your IMG-tag contain only the image file name. E.g.
<img src="My-Image.gif">. Then add HIGHT and WIDTH tags to control the
dimension in Outlook 2007.

Generally you can find answers to all your questions here and example
of stationary that works in Outlook 2007:
http://www.emailsignature.eu.

See e.g. these recommendations for Outlook 2007:

Thank you for your information on the animated gif's.

Actually, what is happening with the attachments is that the stationery,
rather than being the background for the email; is being shown as an
attachment and the email itself is just shown on a white background.

Any ideas about this?

Chris
