Signature

I am using MS Office XP2003 with Outlook.

I am trying unsuccessfully to get my e-mails to include automatically a
signature block.

I did the following:

tools
options
mail format
signatures
selected the sigtnature and clicked apply but no siganture appears on the
mail.

What am I missing?

Just above this are two drop-downs, "Signature for new messages" and
"Signature for replies and forwards". What's in them? Unless you specify
one of your signatures in these fields, nothing gets automatically added.

I have the same problem. In replies/forwards Outlook sometimes places
the signature at the end of the text sometimes it doesn't. Please test it.
Yes I am using Outlook 2003 and Word 2003 is my Outlook editor. This is
clearly a bug. And no body nows the fix! I posted this several times to
this group with no success.
