I made a signature for windows mail that i could insert into my mail message.
A dell rep messed up my computer and had to resore my OS. I lost
everything,mail contacts,saved messages,programs I had installed, documents,
pictures etc. Can you tell me how to set up my signature again as I can't
figure it out?

I tried that and you have to pay for it. My old Windows mail had a signature
icon in the upper right screen when you clicked new message. Now it's no
longer there. Any suggestions?

Pay for what? Access to that URL is free.
That URL has a tutorial for how to create a signature.
 
I can create a simple signature but I want to creat one with a background.
Before my system was restored I could create one by clicking new message and
in the upper right corner was a signature icon. It is no longer there.

Insert Picture will be grayed out if you are in plain text format. You must
choose HTML format before the Insert Picture feature becomes available.
 
It is in HTML format. News is text format. Also I created a signature with a
picture but when I clicked new mail it showed my name but the picture was a
blank window with a little red x inthe top left. Other people say something
about the path.
