Signature format changed since upgrade to 2003

Just upgraded Outlook from 2002 to 2003 (only upgraded
Outlook, not other Offdice XP Professiuonal programs.)
Everything is fine except: My previous signature is
formatted wronf now-- a space after each line, and a jpg
logo is just a blank box now.

The checkboxes that would allow me to use word as my
editor are greyed out (they seem to be only for Word
2003?) How do I fix this?

Outlook 2003 blocks all images by default so your .jpg or .gif in a
signature will not display.

You must use the same versions of Outlook and Word for Word to be your
default editor. You can fix it by installing Word 2003.
