sign in problems

Everyone is having the same problem.....what's the common element? Could it be Microsoft just doesn't want to admit a problem? I had no problems at work but at home there is no messenger. I tried all the little tricks and fixes that the "expert" Jonathan Kay MVP from Microsoft Window's expert zone suggested and just like everyone else....it doesn't work. Microsoft wake up please!

Might be nice to update the service status page as it
says everything is ruuning and stable... If that would
have said, "System is down" I wouldn't have wasted the
last 30 minutes searching for answers. argh
