At start up I got a popup with a red X,and it said
that this file "sifxinst.exe"(install pending) was corrupted.
So I search for it and deleted it.
It still seems to be(unchecked) in the Search&Destroy
startup menu,under tools.
Was I premature, and if not did I get it all just
deleting it through search ?
Thanks for any info..

Thank you Mikhail,
but I did search and find, and also my programs are the reason
I know about and deleted it,the question is, did I get it all from the
register,
and how to find it,still remains.

So you worry only about you see this item, unchecked though, in the
Search&Destroy startup menu? No problems then. It is only an inactive
record in the Registry now, or inactive shortcut that had been moved to
the other location.

It would be better to remove this record or shortcut at all (not because
it can be activated again -- but only to put a place in order) -- but I
use Spybot Search&Destroy too rare, and can't recall where it keeps the
blocked items. Probably someone will say how to do that -- or maybe S&D
has the option to remove any item permanently.
