.sif file corrupt duriing w2k fast repair

I am attempting to perform a fast repair of w2k without an ERD. Also, I do
not have the original Install disk so I am using the install disk from
another computer. After the install program checks the disk and starts the
file check, I receive the following error:
The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupted or missing:
Value 0 on line in section [SourceDisksFiles] with key “msisip.dll.â€
Unable to Copy msisip.dll

When I look at the txtsetup.sif file via notepad, it value looks the same as
another computer. Can this line be manually re-entered or copied from
another copy? If I skip this file, what will my consequences be?

I found a note about overriding txtsetup.sif at
<http://technet2.microsoft.com/Windo...d1d2-4dc7-88d3-4e75bbf63a971033.mspx?mfr=true>
"If you start the computer from the product CD and also insert a
floppy disk containing an information file called Winnt.sif,
Setup reads the copy of Winnt.sif on the floppy disk."

I don't know if that trick could be used to work around a
damaged product cd, but the page explains the setup process in
detail.

Best to boot the CD-Rom. If not possible your CD-Rom is probably a slip
streamed install. Try replacing the file txtsetup.sif on the first floppy
with the file (same name) found in \i386 directory on your CD-Rom.

(I don't think you can run a fast repair from integrated installation media)
