Sidewinder Wheel & XP driver ?

Was sold a Sidewinder precision racing wheel from PCWorld
about 6 months ago. I have been abroad since then, but
myself & kids (!) cannot install. Was assured that it
would work with XP, but doesn't seem to be true.

Looked for XP downloadware for this wheel, but cannot
find any ??

Assuming that this is the USB SideWinder Force Feedback wheel. If so it should have came with install CD that has Game Controller Software that was designed for Win98, but it will work in XP. Ignore warning and install.

Paul, WinXP has built in Drivers for the Sidewinder. Other than that I
am afraid your out of luck.

If it was only six months ago, it would have come with the CD for Sidwinder
software for Wheel, v4.0 which WILL install on XP and should be installed
BEFORE connecting wheel to PC.

If it was a gameport controller version, then the Sidewinder v3.02 will NOT
install on XP nor is it supposed to be.

Connect wheel to PC, go to Control Panel, click on Game Controllers an use
AutoDetect.
