Sidewinder software updates

I have a sidewinder precision pro, but the software on
the cd rom/download from website both say "Sidewinder
Game Device Software 3.x installs drivers that are
incompatible with this version of Windows."

Can anyone help me

Hello

Try this
1. Connect the device to the gameport
2. Start -> Run -> Control Panel
3. Switch to "Classic View".
4. Run the Gaming Options control
5. In Gaming Options Click the "Add..." button.
6. From the list choose "Microsoft SideWinder (Auto Detect)"
7. This should install your device.

Also, there will not be any more updates for any gameport/joystick based
Sidewinder devices. The defaulr drivers in XP is alll that is/will be
available since the gameport/joustick port drivers have been discontinued.
