Sidewinder Plug &Play Game Pad

I own a Sidewinder Plug &Play Game Pad, and it worked
fine until a few weeks ago. I was playing a game, and it
just stopped working in the middle of my game and I've
been unable to get it to work ever since. When I go
to "Game Controllers" and try to add it, it says "Not
Connected", yet when I look under "Add Hardware" it says
that the device is working properly. This is extremely
frustrating, and if anyone has anything that might help
it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

You might try this:

uninstall the game pad completely. Then, reinstall it
like before. I had the same problem and that worked for
me.
