I thought I would hate the sidebar, but I actually really like it, just one
annoying thing, occasionally it keeps re-arranging all my gadgets. now it
only takes a few seconds to re order them, but it's still annoying.

does anyone have the same problem, is there any way to stop this happening?

thanks

You can drag the gadgets to the desktop then close the Sidebar .. closing
the Sidebar reduces it to the Notification Tray. Don't actually "Exit"
Sidebar as it will take the Gadgets along with it. The Gadgets on the
Desktop can be arrange to your liking. Some appear larger on the Desktop
than when docked to the Sidebar.

I would prefer to use the sidebar, rather than the desktop, but thanks for
the suggestion.

They still seem to migrate. I place mine right up to the right edge of the
screen. Then over the next day or so they move to the left, until there's up
to a 2" gap at the right. At which time I move them back, and the process
starts again. I can see where something like this might occur if I were
changing screen resolutions, but it happens when I don't, as well.

I stopped using sidebar gadgets for that exact reason. They kept creeping
to the left making them quite useless.
