SID issue

Hi, i have a prob wif SID. The scenario is as follows:
Server A is connected to EMC SAN storage, the users in Server A is given
access rights to the folders in the drives. Server B is acting as a cold
standby. If Server A is down, will swing the SAN storage over to Server B.
Have created same user IDs in Server B. Both server are on workgroup mode.

During testing, after the SAN storage was swing over to Server B, all the
access rights is lost. Pls advise on the solution to the prob.

Thanks alot !

The reason access is lost is because you created new users. Although
the new users have the same samaccountname it does not mean have the
same access. The difference is that eac new created user has its
unique security identifier (SID).

You are talking about server A and server B. Do you have a windows
domain?

Cheers,
