Shutting Down XP

Every time I shut down XP I have to push the power button
after XP finish unloading things. Is there anyway that I
can have the computer shut down without hitting the power
button?

Try looking at your bios setup & seeing if ACPI is turned on?

Please perform the following steps:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-
click Power Options.

2. Click on the APM tab.

3. Check the Enable Advanced Power Management Support box.
