shutting down xp problem

I have recenly installed xp home edition and every tme i
shut down, the PC starts back up again, the only way of
turning off the PC is to switch off at the plug...urely
this is wrong. Any help would be mostappreciated. Thank

The first thing to do is go to Control Panel -- System -- Advanced
tab -- Startup and Recovery settings and disable Automatically restart box.
You may then find that you get a 'Blue Screen Of Death' ( BSOD ) on
shutdown. If so checkout the options indicated or post the result here.
