Shutting down Vista - Remembering previous option

Hello,

I have a question.

Every time i go to shut down my laptop, Vista defaults to "Sleep".

Does anyone know how i can change this so that it will default to the last
option I chose, vs going to "sleep" each time? Or, if i could just change it
to "shut down"?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

How are you telling windows to shut down? Power button? Start menu?
Shortcut keys? PC? Laptop?

Here's the way it goes:

Click Start Button

Click Shut Down

The "Shut Down Windows" dialog appears.

In all previous Windows versions the choice visible in the list
control is the last-used choice.

Under Windows Vista the choice visible in the list control is always
"Sleep", no matter what you used last.

If you want to use "Shut down", you have to manually select it.

When you shut down the next day, you get "Sleep" again as the default
choice, but I would like to get "Shut Down" as the default choice
since that's what I used last time.
