shutting down applications

I have a lot of spyware programs in my registry.How can i
get rid of them.I have already tried putting the computer
in safe mode then running the spyware program.But that
did not work.I also tried to shut down certain
applications.But i cannot find out where to shut them
down at.Does anyone have any solutions.

1) Install and run Adaware from www.lavasoft.de

2) Install and run Spyware Blaster from
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

3) Dump all TIF's and selectively delete unwanted cookies

4) Turn on the native firewall or install a third-party one
