Shutdown problems

NetVista 8305-D1U. When the user selects Start, Shutdown -
the computer reboots itself. Unable to shut machine off
properly - have to unplug it.

Anybody hear of thus problem before?

Ask IBM.
 
The first place I would look is in the BIOS's power settings, to see how the
settings are defined. What I have seen is a power button setting for
restarting the system, that had an admin assistant rather distressed.
