Shutdown option for admin.

Hello All,

I have a windows 2000 domain with 12 servers. one server
is used for a Application mode terminal server. I have
enabled the System policy to remove the shut down from
terminal servers because users were accidentally shutting
down the servers instead of logging off. Now that i have
removed the shut down option, we the administrators cant
shut down or restart the servers. Is there a way to
initiate this policy for the regular users but to enable
the shut down/restart option to be there for
administrators?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Normal users do *not* have the right to shutdown the server, even
if they can see the option in the Start Menu. If they really did
shutdown the server, then they will still be able to do so (try
opening a command prompt and type shutdown -r -f). Removing the
option from the Start Menu is merely a cosmetic thing.
Are your users Power Users?

About the Group Policy: Go to the Security tab and check "Deny"
for the right to "Apply this policy" for Administrators (or use
the command prompt ;-)
