Shutdown only logs me off

Hello..........

Recent development. To shut down the computer, I click on Start bar and
click on Shutdown and the computer logs off instead of shutting down. I then
have to click on Turn Computer Off prompt at the bottom of the blue login
screen-which shuts it down. Thinking that the commands were reversed, I
tried clicking on Log off selection and it acted normally, logging me off.
How do I get the one click shutdown feature back to normal?

Hi SSG,

Thanx for quick reply. Unfortunately the website deals with all shutdown
issues including rebooting issues except my logging off issue when I shut
down the computer. Do you have any other ideas dealing specifically with log
off during shutdown? Thanks,

Lindy
