Hey,
I've got a problem with shutting XP down properly. Usually my computer is on
all day. When I try to shut down in the evening I press start/shut down
computer. After that I have to wait ages till the shutdown screen appears (if
it appears at all), and when I finally get to it and I press shut down, I
have to wait ages again. (I never had the patience before to wait and see if
it actually shuts down at all, it simply takes way to long). When I'm tired
of waiting for the shutdown screen, I usually press reset and immediatly shut
down when my pc has booted up again. At that time shutdown happens at normal
speed. I also noticed that the longer my pc is switched on, the longer it
takes to get to the shut down screen.
I haven't got this problem ever before. My PC shutdown ran smoothly until
about a week ago. Does anyone know what causes this, or how I can solve this
issue?
Thanks!
