Installed Norton 2002 Utilities from CD. At completion of
installation, the wizard notes that the system must be
restarted. Clicked "Finish". An error window popped too
brief to read and the system restarted with no problem.
Now anytime I shutdown or restart the system, I get the
following:

CorUpd.exe
The instruction at 0x77e7a67a referenced memory
0x0042c05c. The memory could not be written. Click OK to
terminate the program.

Click OK and shutdown or restart works ok. At this point
it is an incovenience not a show-stopper.

Any ideas on what the "exe" is about? For example is it
an xp or Norton file? Should I try to resolve with
Microsoft or Norton?

Thanks, Joe

Find the file CORUPD.EXE on the HDD and rename it. This should make
clear if the file is needed and from which application it is use.
