Shut off preview pane in window mail??

How do I shut off the Preview Pane on Windows Mail? I hated it in Outlook
Express and continue to hate it. I don't want any mail opening unless I
select it.

uncheck Show Preview Pane

I view all my mail in the Preview pane, seldom fully open any messages.

If you view in preview pane, are you protected from virus' and trojans?

If you have an antivirus program, with up to date definitions, you should be
ok.
WM/WLM also does a good job of moving suspicious files to the Junk folder,
which doesn't have a preview.
