not be read. Click OK to terminate program.

I tried to defragment the hard disk, but It didn't work.

Thanks for the follow-up information. The message is actually a XP
message about the NAV Auto Protect service. When you shut down,
XP tries to gracefully close or end all services. The NAV service is
not doing that correctly. If your Norton is up to date, I would check
the System & Application Event Logs for errors. You possibly have
other issues with Norton that may be logged there.
To run Event Viewer, Click Start, Run (Type) EventVwr.Msc [Enter]
Expand each log and scan the Right pane for any Red Icon entries
that denote errors. Double-Click each one to read the details box on
the error and it's associated numerical error code.

Hi

I search in the Event Viewer this is what I found as error:

Application:

First error:
Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to contact the
active directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does not exist or
could not be contacted.
Enrollment will not be performed.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Seconf error:
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network.
(The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. ).
Group Policy processing aborted.

System Tree: source: NETLOG
No Domain Controller is available for domain HPI-AS due to the following:
There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
..
Make sure that the computer is connected to the network and try again. If
the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

In the Services I find that the NAV Protect Service depend from RPC.

My computer is logged to a domain (Win 2000 server)

Thanks
