Shut Down Issue

I have a user running XP Home SP1a. He is continually
experiencing longs waits during shut down - even to the
point of cold booting. Any ideas?

Hello,

Prior to shutdown, close all running applications. Then check the Task
Manager for running processes. See if you can isolate the process that
appears to be taking a long time to shut down.
