shut down and re boot problems

i recently had to remove the "w32.welchia.c.worm" from my
system, dont even know how i got it since i had just
installed windows and such this morning. but now that the
virus and its imediate problem are solved, im left with
another..sigh.....whenever i choose to re boot or shut
down, it locks up at the "windows is shutting down"
screen.....could it happen to deal with the other virus
that norton cant seem to get rid of "WINSVC.EXE" listed
as bloodhound.packed...please help me.

As you have pointed out, your computer is still infected with at least
one more virus. I'm not sure what you mean by saying Norton can't get
rid of it, but if your NAV hasn't been broken by any of the viruses on
your system, update its definitions and scan again in Safe Mode. Be
sure to disable System Restore first.
