Shurdown failure after SP2 Install

After installing XP SP2, my machine hangs on shutdown

There are no messages in the logs

Any ideas anyone ?
 
I have same problem, however I have not installed SP2
yet. Can't find help on this anywhere. Made many changes
without consequence.
