shrink volume help please

hi. i have a toshiba laptop and it has a 120gb hdd of which 105 is
configured for c:. i want to make a new drive D: out of the c drive and i'm
using a shirnk volume option in disk management. my problem is shrink volume
is not offering me more than 35133 kbs for the new partition.

please help.

I would be interested in hearing if running defrag would help that. I would
turn off the virtual memory before this defrag.
Open control panel, open System.

In the left pane, click Advanced system settings. If you are prompted for
an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide
confirmation.

On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.

Click the Advanced tab, and then, under Virtual memory, click Change.

Clear the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box.

Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file
you want to change.

Click No paging file.
Apply, restart, and run defrag.
Try the shrink of the drive again.
