Show hidden files not showing

ok i just remembered this, its been months now, when i go into folder options
and click show hidden files. It wont work, ill click ok, but the hidden files
still wont be showing, then when i go back into the folder option, its back
to dont show hidden files. Any idea on how to fix this?

afair hidden files that are SYSTEM files as well are not shown

Go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings and
verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked
and "Hide protected operating system files " is unchecked. You may need
to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that
the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
Next in Windows Explorer make sure View, Details is selected and then
select View, Choose Details and check before Name, Type, Total Size, and
Free Space.

Are you clicking on the Apply and OK button after making your selection.
You need to do this. Also for some changes you need to restart the
computer for the change to take affect.
