When I search the Microsoft Knowledge base on how to add the "Show Desktop"
icon to the status bar on the bottom of the screen, it displays in depth
directions
on how to do this for both Windows 98 and ME, but not for XP. What's the
scoop?

Hi,
The information here from Doug Knox a Microsoft MVP will tell you how to get
the Show Desktop icon/shortcut back on your Quick Launch toolbar.

To have your quick launch tool bar show up, right click a unused area of
your taskbar and then go to the Toolbars option and then select Quick
Launch.
