DESPERATE IN MS

I have created a template in Word 2003 it has custom tool bars which uses the
macros to load the doc's.

When I initially open the template, I get my toolbars and am able to click
on a documents toolbar and the document opens/loads.

Now comes my problem. When I go to close the active document (one I just
opened/loaded) , it closes but I have no new document window....just grey..I
have to go to File then New (my toolbars stay)

Therefore, after the document is closed (and no new doc opened) if I try to
load a document from the toolbar, my macros don't work.....But when I do NEW
they work.

Could someone please tell me how to simply open a document and then close
the document and have a new blank document page showing without having to
open a new one myself. I'm not lazy but this template has 7 full toolbars and
will be used by many. thanks for all the help

If you want the toolbars from your custom template to be available at all
times, you should place the template in the Startup folder for Word. That
way, it is loaded as an add-in whenever Word starts.
