Word 2007 Toolbars Disappear once doc is saved and closed

I am using Word 2007. Our global templates (letters, faxes, precedents etc)
were created in XP and we are opening and using in 2007. The old toolbars
are available in the Add-Ins ribbon with all the functionality working
perfectly in 2007. Once the document has been saved, closed and opened again
the toolbar relating to the template disappears which means we cannot use the
macros from the toolbar to edit the documents. Has anybody had this same
problem.

You can place the template in the Startup folder to have Word load it on
startup. That way, the toolbars should be visible on the Add-Ins tab.

Thanks Stefan but we have lots of templates each with their own toolbar; we
don't want to have to wait for startup to load every single template. We
only need the toolbar available if the document is in use.

The Add-ins Tab is there and works fine, the toolbars are available also in
the Add-Ins tab for whichever template I have opened. The problem only
occurs once the document based on the template is completed; ie named, saved
and closed. When that document is reopened for editing the toolbar is
missing from the Add-ins tab at that point.

That is strange. As soon as a file is opened, its template will also be
loaded. In other words, any toolbars should be available.
