But I don't think that will work. The only way I see to get to device
manager in XP is through "conrol panel, system" and device manager is then a
button to click. It can't be right clicked. I just need the name of the .exe
program that opens devie mgr.
Assuming C: is your system drive.
Go to:
c:\windows\system32\devmgmt.msc
Right click and create a shortcut.
Cop and paste the shortcut to your desktop.
