Shortcut to Connect

To connect to the internet I currently have to click START then CONNECT TO;
then select my ISP connection; then click connect on the window that
actually completes the connection.

I've tried to right click that last window with no result. Is there any way
to create a shortcut that will complete the connection with one click (or
double-click)?

Control Panel (Classic View) > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Network
Connections

Right-click on your connection > Create shortcut

When you've created the desktop shortcut, you can copy / move it where you
like.
