how can i create a shoutdown shortcut in windows 98?
and where can i put this file in os?

Create a new shortcut (right click the desktop or a folder background and
choose New, Shortcut). In the Command line (or Target) field, type:
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL32.EXE User,ExitWindows

Name the new shortcut Shutdown Windows. Warning: This one shuts down your
system without confirmation, so only double-click it when you're sure that's
what you want to do.

What portion of "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general" did you not understand?
