shortcut on the desktop to "create shortcut" - newbie

Hello,
Is there a way to create a shortcut (on the desktop) so that when pressing it
the it will open the same "create shotcut" dialog that is
opened when you right click the mouse , from the desktop, and
choose "new"->"shortcut"?

You could use a keyboard/mouse recorder such as AutoIt.
Chances are that it would take you longer to learn the rules
of such a recorder, than it would take you to right click
the desktop and selecting "new" a few hundred times . . .
