Hi, I thought I was creating a shortcut when I went to Start --> Programs -->
Word,
and left clicked on it and dragged it to the desktop. As I learned, this is
NOT the way to do it (should have Rt clicked, and did create shortcut).
Anyway, how do I undo what I just did ? I want to get Word back into the
Start --> Program list.
Thanks.

Right-click on the Start button and choose "Explore". This will give you
the familiar two-paned Explorer window and you will see your Start Menu
there. If the Explorer window takes up the whole Desktop, use the
middle button on the very top right corner of the window to make it
smaller so you can see your Desktop too. Now you can right-click the
Word icon on the Desktop and drag it to your Programs menu in the
Explorer windows. When you release the right mouse button choose "Copy"
and you will now have two shortcuts - one on your Programs menu and one
on your Desktop.
