Shortcut Icons

Hi there,

Can anyone help? Running XP Home Edition I want to change my Desktop Icons
so that the shortcuts don't have the little arrow in the bottom corner.

I have Mcafee's "Nuts & Bolts" that I used with Windows 98, I could remove
the arrows with that, but not with XP.

Is there anything (or way) I can remove the shortcut arrows under XP?

You can easily get rid of the shorcut icon overlau
through TweakUI. Under
TweakUI. navigate to explorer>shortcut and select 'none'

Hi Dave

You can download TweakUI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and then expand 'Explorer' in TweakUI after installation to erase the arrows.
