Shortcut Icons - XP Pro

A friend has Windows XP Pro. On his desktop the shortcut icons don't have
the arrow symbols that mine have on XP Home.

Is this a feature of XP Pro or is there a setting he can alter, please?

Gareth, if he wants arrow symbols tell him to download and install
TweakUI for WinXP. Then when installed go to
Explorer\Shortcut and in the right pane he can change the
configuration.

items on desktop can be a shortcut or the actual file that a shortcut would
look for!!!
you can save the actual file(s) on your desktop.
