short period of inactivity logs me out

With the newest upgrade, I step away from the computer for a short time to
answer the phone or deal with customer ... the computer logs me off. How do
I lengthen the inactivity period to keep from having to re-log in 20 time a
day?

Hi, did you try going to Control Panel, Power Options, click the advanced tab
then uncheck "Prompt for password when computer goess off standby"

Check these settings.

Go to Control Panel and double click Display.
In Display Properties, click on the Screen Saver tab.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "On resume, password
protect".
Note: If there is more than one user account on your computer
it will say "On resume, show the Welcome Screen".
Click OK.

Back in Control Panel, double click Power Options.
In Power Options, click on the Advanced tab.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "Prompt for password
when computer resumes from standby".
Click OK.

Good luck
