Shift - Tab stopped working

Using WinXP Home sp2.
I was working on MSWord2003 and clicked on something.
Now when I hit the Tab or Shift-Tab on the keyboard the cursor only
advances to right.
It does it in Word, Notepad or Wordpad so I assume that this is a
Windows problem.
How do I get it back so that when hitting Shift-Tab the cursor will
move back the way it always did?

Try the other shift key. That one may not be working.
