shift+F3 quit working

I'm using Word 2003, and the oft-used SHIFT+F3 feature (to toggle cases) has
mysteriously stopped working. While I can use Format > Change Case from the
menu bar, I prefer the keyboard method.

Is there some setting on my local copy of Word or a key on my keyboard that
I may have hit that made it stop working?

Someone had suggested that I accidentally hit the F LOCK key, but I do not
have one on my keyboard.

Possibly the shortcut was overwritten by another assignment or "got lost".
To restore it:

Go to Tools > Customize > Keyboard. Select the Format category and then
select the ChangeCase command. Put the cursor in the "Press new shortcut
key" box and press Shift+F3, then click the Assign button. The Current Keys
box should now show Shift+F3.
